A hands-on STEM camp for curious kids in Riyadh

Where Curiosity Becomes Discovery

This summer, give your child more than just a camp — give them a place to experiment, build, explore, and create.

Play School × WonderLAB by LifeLab is a five-day hands-on STEM experience for children aged 8–12, designed to spark curiosity through science, engineering, creative challenges, and collaborative play.

Hosted at LifeLab KAFD, every day is filled with engaging experiments, engineering builds, logic games, and discovery missions that develop confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Unlike traditional classroom learning, our programme is built around one simple idea: Children learn best when they can touch, test, build, and discover for themselves.

Children are born curious.

They ask questions, test ideas, build, break, imagine, and discover long before they ever open a textbook. At Play School × WonderLAB by LifeLab, we’ve designed a summer experience that protects and nurtures that natural curiosity.

Rather than memorising answers, children learn by exploring real-world challenges through hands-on science, engineering, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving. Every activity is designed to inspire confidence, independent thinking, and a genuine love of discovery.

Because when curiosity leads, learning lasts.

Every day brings a new opportunity to investigate, invent, and create through immersive, hands-on activities.

Meet The Teachers

Meet Noma Bongoza

Noma brings classroom teaching, ESL facilitation, project management, curriculum support, and early childhood development experience across South Africa and Riyadh. Her background spans sustainable development, Montessori education, TESOL, environmental sciences, and hands-on work with early care centres. She is positioned to shape Play School because she understands how children, educators, and families meet learning in real settings. Kids get activities that are warm, structured, practical, and built around curiosity, confidence, and doing.

Meet Muhammad Al Najjar

Muhammad has more than 20 years in biological sciences education, teaching British and American curricula including Cambridge O Level and A Level, AP Biology, SAT, ACT, and SAAT/TAHSILI preparation. He founded and led a Biology Club, mentors gifted Mawhiba learners, and is pursuing an MA in Leadership in Education. He is equipped to lead the program because he combines deep science knowledge with active, inquiry-based teaching. Kids get experiments, guided problem-solving, scientific language, teamwork, and the confidence to think like young researchers.

Not at all. The Summer Science Series is designed around play-based, hands-on learning. Children experiment, build, test ideas, solve challenges, and work together in a fun, engaging environment that nurtures curiosity and confidence.

We intentionally keep cohorts small so every child gets plenty of hands-on time, individual guidance, and opportunities to collaborate. Spaces are limited and tend to fill quickly.

  • Why this camp exists: Because children learn deeply when curiosity comes first.
  • What children will experience: Six activity cards: experiments, build challenges, logic games, nature discovery, creative missions, and collaborative play.
  • Five-day flow: Curious Chemists, Build Like Engineers, Logic Lab, Nature & Discovery Mission, Invention Showcase.
  • Parent logistics: English instruction, 10 AM-2 PM; bring lunch; water and fruit provided; parents cannot observe.
